Hey everybody (or the random person who stumbles upon our blog, doesn’t get it, sneers, and then hits the back button…) Chudd is busy tonight doing what he does best (drinking warm scotch while working on a vector illustration in his underwear and loudly slurring curse words at his computer), so I’ll be doing the
Cool Star Wars Stuff of the Week post tonight! Now hit the “Read More” link and lets do this thing like we’re jumping into hyperspace! (too much? yeah… I thought so too…)
Tatooine, by Jeremy Messersmith
First up is this great song and paper-crafted 2D animation about the entire Star Wars trilogy by song writer Jeremy Messsersmith. Messsersmith had this to say about the animation:
As a creative person, I understand that it’s hard to let go sometimes. God help me if I ever get to the point where I have the time and money to keep re-recording new versions of old songs instead of writing new ones! Unfortunately, George Lucas (in a fate worse than Darth Vader’s) is in the horrible place of having had all of his dreams come true. Now he has total creative control of whatever he wants to do, hence Star Wars in 3D. Anyway, I’ve got a song called Tatooine with a new music video directed by Eric Power over at ericpowerup.net. We are both OT (that’s original trilogy) fanboys so I made a lo-fi song and he made a very 2D music video. You can download the song for whatever you want over at my bandcamp page. Oh, and the video is animated with PAPER. The entire Star Wars trilogy in 2 minutes animated with PAPER. Enjoy, at least until the cease and desist letter from Lucasfilm shows up (which I will promptly frame next to my family photos).
Check out the video below and love the hell out of it.
How to Make a Storm Trooper Helmet from a Milk Jug
If you go to Filth Wizardry.com you’ll see how to make a storm trooper helmet from a common milk jug. Then cry a little because you just spent a day making a storm trooper helmet from a milk jug when you could have been playing Halo: Reach, or grooming a opossum, or even faking your own death for the sweet insurance pay off. Ehh, the helmets cool too.
Force Unleashed II Demo
Because they said it best…
LucasArts is happy to announce that the demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II will be arriving at both the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network on Tuesday, October 12th.
The level focuses on the very beginning of the game, which takes in a secret cloning facility on the planet of Kamino. Starkiller, told by Vader he is no more than a clone, becomes tormented by the memories of his past and escapes into the rain-soaked planet with Vader not far behind.
Unleash the power of dual lightsabers, over-top Force powers including the new Jedi mind trick, and get a first taste on a journey that will take Starkiller across the galaxy in search of the truth behind his past, as well as the woman he cannot forget.
Duct Tape AT-AT
Fix a chair, seal an air conditioning duct, subvert a galactic rebellion with awesome brute force… THIS SHIT CAN DO EVERYTHING! I first found out about this on laughingsquid.com where they reported that this is a 46″ high 50″ long sculpture made by a fan out of wood, cardboard, duct tape, and permanent marker and is for sale on ebay.
Mondo: Bounty Hunters Wave 2 Print

Well, there you go, just a little taste of all the creamy Star Wars goodness oozing out onto the Web this last week. Hope you enjoyed and look forward to more Star Wars post next Wednesday by Chudd. T’chou Amigos e Amigas!
