Well, I’ve had a hell of a day. I’m glad it’s over, and that there’s only two more days left until the weekend. I was hoping to get a post on earlier this morning, but I had a bunch of bills I needed to take care of… oh, and rent was due. By the time I got all that taken care of I had to start my work day. There’s some other stuff I would like to get to tonight, so I’m only going to go over three or four things of Star Wars interest this past week.
Irvin Kershner, Passes Away
Unfortunately something not-so-cool happened this week. Irvin Kershner passed away. He directed my favorite Star Wars film, The Empire Strikes Back (I have to admit I kind of liked Robocop 2 as well…). Honestly I don’t know that much about Kershner, but he did make it to 87, and helped to create something fanboys like myself will treasure for the rest of our lives… however long that may be.
Han Shot First
Check out this new awesome Mondo poster, Han Shot First, by Florian Bertmer. Looks like only 400 are available, at $50.oo a print… anybody got $50.00 I can borrow (and by “borrow” I mean give, because I have no intention of paying you back…)?
Sons of the Empire
Greedo’s Alternative Lifestyle
Here’s something I’ve saw on Blastr.com the other day. Apparently two different people wore the Greedo costume, and one of them was a woman (Maria de Aragon I think was her name, correct me if I’m wrong). That’s almost as odd as the image of Chewbacca feeling up Leia (see below…).
Well, that’s it for this week. I know, there’s a ton of other stuff I missed, but I’m sorry I don’t have the time to cover every Star Wars related thing that’s currently on the web. Maybe someday when I start earning more money off my side projects, and I can quit my day job, I’ll have more time to post. Spread the word about Atomic Moo and maybe that will happen… well, probably not, but it’s nice to dream about.
