Good morning Geeks! I saw this Flight of the Concords “Murray” Christmas card on my RSS this morning, and felt I should share it (thank you for posting about this). It was illustrated by Elliott Quince, who did a great job on the design of the card. I’ve recently become a big fan of the HBO show, and this last Saturday I picked up both seasons on DVD (they were on sale in a box set at BestBuy for only $22, so I thought that was a good deal). I was even watching the first season last night as I was putting the finishing touches on the Zentradi Wallpaper. I really like the “present” gag, which I thought was pretty clever. I also like this card because of the character’s name “Murray” (my last name), and felt that was a good usage of it. One thing bugged me as I was watching the show last night (I must have missed this the first time I watched these), was Murray’s idea of the name “Murray-Land.” WHAT THE FUCK??? I’m not kidding, but I seriously had an idea that, if I ever had an money to invest in, I would call “Murray-Land.” It was going to be a cigar lounge/ steak-house, with a driving range in the back. Dammit! It’s like every idea I come up with, someone else beats me to it! Other than that, the show is awesome. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you check it out.
