Okore Meet up

Tonight Trog and I went to the monthly San Diego Anime meet up, Okoré, and we had a pretty good time. My stomach was kind of bugging me (shouldn’t of had the popcorn chicken curry), so we left early. It was good to see some familiar faces though, and thanks to Louie and Katie for organizing it all and giving us something to do on a Saturday night.

When I was younger there was some Anime I really enjoyed. Robotech, Macross 2, Macross Plus, Wings of Honneamise, Ghost in the Shell, and Ninja Scroll were some I remember I liked watching. Then I fell away from it for awhile. Maybe there was too much out there and I couldn’t keep up… or maybe it was because, for awhile there, I was trying to get my degree while trying to support myself. Maybe it was just lack of time… I dunno. These last few months I’ve picked up an interest in Anime again, but I am a little overwhelmed with how much is out there. We usually get some good suggestions at the meet up (Samurai 7), and we always look for more when we go.

Something we did get to see while we were there was this awesome fan made Pokemon trailer: Pokemon Apocalypse. I know this came out last September, but it was new to me, so I thought I would share it here. I’m not a Pokemon fan, but what these guys did looks pretty cool. Take a look and let us know what you think.
