Black Canary-Super Unofficial

I saw this Black Canary fan-made video earlier this morning from Super Unofficial (thanks to for sharing this). It’s part of their Five Faces Project. After watching this my only questions were what is Super Unofficial, and what’s the Five Faces project? Up until this morning I had never heard of either of these things. On their site this is what Super Unofficial had to say about themselves:

Super Unofficial” is an online TV network made by Comic Book fans, for Comic Book fans. Featuring three original web series running simultaneously, “Super Unofficial” is a central hub for comic book related original video content. Utilizing the Internet, “Super Unofficial” seeks to connect with audiences directly, allowing for greater fan interaction and in turn, repeat viewers who are invested in what they watch.

Sounds like a good idea to me. So far this morning I’ve watched their Black Canary video, a Booster Gold, and an episode of their Superman: The Unofficial Web Series. They all have that “fan made” look, but that’s what I like about them. I’m not sure though if their site only shows stuff they create, or is it a place for any fan to submit videos? Because I have this great idea of throwing on some Aquaman Underoos, and grabbing a camcorder, and heading on down to the local pet store… maybe I should think about that one a little more.  Check out their website, or their Facebook page. I’m sure they would appreciate your support.

As far as the Five Faces Project, here’s what they had to say about it:

THE FIVE FACES PROJECT is a new venture for Super Unofficial, an anthology of separate stories, each a stand-alone short film exploring the stories of five different, lower-level heroes in their own breakout stories. In five different cities, crime takes on five different forms and it will take five different heroes to battle it. Five heroes: The Shadow, Black Canary, Booster Gold, Robin, and Captain Marvel. Four unique and action-packed tales. One choice: Yours.

I’m looking forward to seeing the other three. Here’s the Black Canary video I watched earlier this morning. Enjoy!
