Late Bloomer-Lovecraftian Sex Ed

Late Bloomer

I don’t even know what to say about this one, except it’s probably one of the funniest things I’ve seen this week (thanks to for sharing). It’s a short film that was directed by Craig Macneill and written by Clay McLeod Chapman, and was part of the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Here’s what the creators had to say about it:

Official selection at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, Late Bloomer is a compelling and humorous short film about 7th grade sex ed class gone horribly wrong. Loosely based on the dark tales of H.P. Lovecraft.

I feel bad that this has been around since 2005 and I’ve never even heard of it. The best line was “Hail Yog Soggoth, the Mighty Vagina!” Check it out below, or go to their Youtube channel. They also have a website for you to visit. Enjoy.

You know, that was remarkably true to the original Lovecraftian tales.

    • Yeah. I also liked all the nods to Lovecraft’s stories, like his best friend being named Pickman.

Man, Pickman’s Model. That was a good one.
