Hey Geeks! This last week I saw a few infographics about various geek related stuff. I kept meaning to post these earlier, but I just never got around to it. So, I thought I would throw them all into one post this morning. Maybe you have already seen these, but if not then you might get a kick out of them. Anyhow, enjoy!
Lord of the Rings Infographic
This great looking Lord of the Rings infographic was created by JT Fridsma, a recent graphic design graduate from the University of Florida. I think he’s got a pretty good career ahead of him if he’s doing work like this while still a student. Hell, the projects I had to do while a student at Utah State was stuff like a “stylized cow.” No joke. That project was part of the inspiration for the logo of this site. Anyhow, you can see more of JT’s work on his website… I’m already getting really jealous from looking at it. Damn I need to do more…
Star Wars World Influence Inforgraphic
Ever been curios as to the effect of Star Wars on the world? Well, here’s a handy infographic to help you understand just what a far reaching beast George Lucas created. I saw this earlier this week (via Geekbastards.com), and I keep trying to find line that shows at exactly what point Star War stepped in to my life, and led to me becoming the insecure socially awkward no confidence bastard that I am today (I think it was somewhere around 1980). Looks like the infographic was created by Wired writer Michelle Devereaux. They even got a nifty flash version of the infographic on the Wired site (just click on Michelle’s name to see it).
The Hard Knock Life of an Internet Troll
I believe this Internet Troll infographic was created by the guys over at Get Satisfaction. It looks like an interesting blog. I’ll have to check it out more later. The more I study this infographic, the more worried I become. Sounds like it’s describing me, with the exception of the Red Bull and long hair. I think I’m going to go to the gym after this post is done. Probably a good idea.
Game of Thrones: Illustrated Guide to Houses
Looks like this one was created by the good people at Hauteslides.com. I saw it earlier this week (via GeekTyrant.com), but I haven’t had much of a chance to study it. I don’t know how much of it I would understand anyways. I haven’t seen the show yet, and I’ve never read the books it’s based on. One of these days I’ll get around to it.
Well, that seems to be it. Check them out and let us know what you think.
