Hey geeks, here’s something I found out about tonight, and seeing how it’s a worthy cause, I thought we should give it a Moo. Actually, I only found out about this because I was checking out this morning’s post… again. See, if I had been paying attention, and actually read through all of her description, instead of just giving it a quick glance and then going back to drooling over Yaya’s image, I would’ve read that she choose an image from that shoot to include in the Cosplay for a Cause calendar. In my defense, you can’t put a photo of a hot girl dressed as Faye Valentine in front me and expect me to read. Anyhow, I decided to check it out and see what it was. Turns out it actually sounds pretty cool. Here’s what they have to say about it on their site:
With the terrible events that happened in Japan on March 10th, 2011, and continuing repercussions, Cosplayers from all over the world have come together to support the country that has inspired them.
Cosplay for a Causes’ mission is to use our love of costuming to raise money for the Japanese Red Cross Society to assist in Japan’s Disaster relief aid. We are currently offering a 2012 calendar which contains international cosplayers with many never before seen photos. 100% of all our proceeds will be going to the Japanese Red Cross society.
Looks like the calendars are going for $17.99 each, which is about all I have left after paying my credit card bills and student loans. Now I just need to ask myself if I want to eat for the next two days, or do I want a calender… with Yaya Han and Linda Le in it? Dammit, where’s my wallet?
Check it out, I’m sure they would appreciate it.
