Morning all! What follows is an amazing animation I first saw over on the Geek Tyrant site. Pyrates is a short animation produced by students from the Gobelins school of animation in France. According to Geek Tyrant this has been out for a few years, but this was the first I’ve seen of it, and it is impressive. Give it a look and also check out the “making of” video posted below.

As a chubby, food hoarking, dude I could not imagine having a worst power than Tony Chu’s. If Tony eats something he gets a sudden psychic impression of that food’s history and all the people who have ever come in contact with it. This makes Tony one hell of a good FDA agent, but like it says on the back of the book “as long as he doesn’t mind nibbling on a copse of a murder victim to figure out whodunit, and why.” Welcome to Chew, Taster’s Choice. Created by John Layman and Rob Guillory, and published by Image, this graphic novel is a collection of the first few issues of the series and introduces Chu and his ultra-weird ability.

I have no idea who Bruno Mars is; up until today I’d never heard of him, or any of his music. I gotta give him credit though for using Leonard Nimoy in his video though. Also, I gotta say that I think this is some of the best acting Nimoy has ever done. He had me convinced he was a 80 year-old slacker. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.

Hey El Moochadors… I have to apologize for yesterday’s lack of posts. There’s a lot of cool stuff buzzing around that Trog and I would love to share on here, but we got kind of distracted last night after work. Our neighbor’s were having a little shindig last night, and invited us over for a drink. “Well… okay, but just one…” is what I told myself, because I wanted to do another post, plus finish working on this new shirt idea as well as finish an Atomic Moo business card design I’d been working on.

Three and half Belgium Fat Tires later, and partaking of something that I haven’t tried since I went to Switzerland in 2006, I was feeling like a pretty happy Chudd for the rest of the evening. That means that nothing got done last night, and this morning I woke up feeling way less than fully armed and operational. Honestly, I can barely think right now. Fortunately for us all our friend, and El Moochador, Dave Smith (a.k.a. d20), has stepped in to save the day. He emailed us a review that, after attempting to read last night, and then really reading it this morning, makes me want to check out Game of Thrones. I haven’t seen an episode of it yet, but I think I’ll have to now. Anyhow, here’s his review below, and Dave thank you very much for doing this. I’m off to find some Excedrin…

See! I’ve been saying it for awhile now, but nobody was paying any attention to me. I’ve been saying all along that My Little Pony is full of shit! Ponies can’t fly! Now here’s this physics student proving my point. Check out this Youtube video where this kid proves the physical impossibilities of My Little Pony. NOTE: The physics in this might not be 100% correct, but this was more for fun than actual science/calculations. Also we had to give it a rating for how physically correct it was, I only used XP and RP which basically meant physics outside this universe.

Yes, it has happened. “Physical Impossibilities in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” For our project, we had to find three scenes from any movie or TV show and use physics to find out if something was or wasn’t possible. I got 100% on it.
