Holy cow I feel horrible this morning. We did another Moocast last night (we’ll see how it turns out… hey, at least we’re trying, right?), and afterwards I went outside for a cigar. When I came back in I ended up falling asleep on the couch watching Bride of Frankenstein. It’s more of a loveseat sort of thing, maybe, at most five feet long. I’m 5’11, so it’s not like I fit comfortably on there. I woke up with a major kink in my neck and had the taste of an ash tray in my mouth. Oh, and also that raw feeling I get in the back of my nose and throat when ever I sleep on my back, letting me know I was snoring pretty hard throughout the night. At least it’s Saturday, right?
Harry Potter Vs Halo
Here’s something to get your day off to the right start. I’m guess this is the climatic end of the Harry Potter films. Sorry, I haven’t see it yet. I’m not much of Harry Potter fan anyhow. Still, this is worth a look.
Something I spotted on my reader last night (via NerdBastards.com). So it looks like this a documentary series for the Space channel up in Canada. Take a look at the trailer below, and here’s some more info on it from their blog:
“Fanboy”, “Geek” and “Nerd” were once terms of ridicule and derision, but now these folks wear the badges proudly. Because everyone knows – Nerds Rule! And today there are literally millions of self-professed nerds around the world. FANBOY CONFESSIONAL is a new television series celebrating this revolution.
FANBOY CONFESSIONAL presents active stories of self-professed “Fanboys” (and “Fangirls”) – pop culture enthusiasts and aficionados. It’s a celebration of unique interests and creative knowledge, and presents each Fanboy as a hero in his or her own right. The characters in our series come from all areas of fandom, and all have a sense of humor about their passions, mixed with a healthy measure of self-awareness and respect.
I didn’t even know Canada had a space channel (honestly, I’m kind of surprised that they have television). This looks pretty cool, and I’d definitely like the chance to see this when it comes out.
Weeping Angel Embroidery
Okay, I don’t know dick about embroidery, but I thought this was a neat example of creative geekcraft (via NerdApproved.com). I have no idea who made these (I’m guess it was a girl… just guessing!), and, I’ll be honest with you, I’m feeling too lazy to look it up. So, who ever you are that created these, good job!
