Hey geeks. It’s been a hell of a day, I tell’ya. But, I’m home now. Chill’n. Currently I’m chatting with a couple other members of the Moocast, trying to plan out tomorrow’s…episode…show? What the hell are we calling it? I dunno… Anyhow, here’s a few things I found while browsing the net tonight… with no pants on… Enjoy!
Anyhow, I came across these awesome looking animated comic book covers by Kerry Callen, like the one of Spider-Man above. Looks like he’s a cartoonist with some serious skills. Check out his blog for more of his work, and check out the rest of the covers below.
Some Awesome Cosplay on DeviantArt
Definitely can’t get enough of gorgeous girls in sexy comic book cosplay. Found these while browsing through DeviantArt.com.
John Carter Trailer
Alright… normally, I like to focus on what I call “Geek Creative” stuff. Things that are fan made, or show the creative side to geek culture (like the animated comic covers above, or the cosplay). Things like trailers I usually leave to Trog to post about. Anyhow, these past few days I’ve been reading Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It’s okay. I mean, I don’t think I’m a die hard John Carter fan, but Dejah Thoris sounds pretty hot…
I haven’t been reading it because a Disney movie based on the story is about to be released in March (on the 9th I believe). It’s a second hand used copy that I have no idea where it came from (Trog found it some where…). Mostly I’m reading it because I’m too broke to go out and buy the latest Game of Thrones book, and I’ve already read every thing on my shelf twice over… even the Bible and “How to Win Friends and Influence People” (I think the core message there is “don’t be a dick”).
Although I am interested in seeing a live action film of the story, I’m not sure Disney were the right guys to hand this to (no naked Dejah, WTF???). Still, I haven’t seen it yet, so we’ll see. I dunno, check out the trailer below and form your own opinions, and your more than welcome to share them with us. Just don’t be a dick or we won’t be your friends…
