An Evening Moo: Awesome Geek Art, Skyrim in Real Life, and Angry Bitches

Alien by Josip Kelava

Hey El Moochadors. I’m currently talking with a couple other members of the Moocast right now, planning out tomorrow’s episode, so it’s a little tough trying to write and focus on the conversation at the same time. I’ll soldier on though…

Shit… where was I? Yeah, anyhow, I came across some fantastic looking geek art that you should check out. The series is called “Heroes and Villains” by Josip Kelava. This is the stuff I really love to see, and at the same time makes me a little envious that I’m not creating work like this. I love the ultra-realistic illustrations combined with some great looking typography. Check out the rest of the images after the jump, as well as a couple other nifty items I found on the net tonight. Enjoy!

Skyrim: 2012

Sorry, I haven’t had a chance to play Skyrim yet—or any video game for the last four years, except for a couple games I’ve managed to hang on to for my Sega Genesis (Zombies Ate My Neighbors is still just as awesome today as it was then!)—so some of the humor is lost on me. Still, I thought it was worth sharing.

Guy Has his ENTIRE Star Wars Collection Dumped in Alley by Ex-Wife

I just about shed a tear when I saw the photo above. I read about this on Geekologie, I believe yesterday. Look, I don’t know the full story here. I don’t know what their relationship was like, or if he was a total dick to her, or whatever… but that seems really uncalled for. Maybe I’m a little biased here because I am (or use to be) a collector. I don’t know… I’m thinking this should be counted as abuse. Physical assault and damage to a man’s Star Wars toy collection should clearly be counted as abuse. Just my opinion, and you’re welcome to disagree… just keep it to yourself.

Well, that’s all I got for tonight. We’ll see what I can dig up for tomorrow. Later!

I would have liked to see the Ringwraith labeled as “The Kings of Men.”
