Alright, not really breaking news here, but after I got home today I sat down and checked out Geek & Sundry—well, actually I took a very hot shower to see if I could get the soreness out from my legs from all the bike riding and walking I’ve been doing (thanks Trog…), then I fell asleep on the couch for an hour, then I checked out their Youtube channel. I have to say I really like it. For those of you who haven’t heard of it yet, here’s a brief description of it from their press kit:

Premium YouTube channel Geek & Sundry features the best of indie geek culture and the internet’s foremost geek voices. Founded by the producers of the hit web series The Guild, Geek & Sundry offers a diverse lineup of shows that create a hub for fans of comedy, gaming, comics, music, and literature around the world. Through compelling content and its powerful social media presence, the channel cultivates a thriving community amongst its viewers, allowing them to immerse themselves in nerd culture and connect with each other both online and off. Spearheaded by prominent geek figureheads, Geek & Sundry features original content by Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible, Eureka), Wil Wheaton (Star Trek, The Big Bang Theory), Veronica Belmont & Tom Merritt (Sword & Laser), Paul & Storm (w00tstock), and Dark Horse Comics.

Wait… does “premium” mean you have to pay? Hmmmm… I hope not… Anyhow, I’m a big fan of Felicia Day, and what she’s done with the Guild, and I hope this becomes very successful for her and her crew. Wil Wheaton’s Table Top show looks pretty interesting, though I haven’t finished watching all of it yet. Mostly I just took a quick glimpse at some of the other stuff.

This is something I’ve been hoping would happen for awhile now. One of the reasons I refuse to get cable is because I feel there’s not much on there that really speak to my interests (that and I’m broke), and if there is, then it’s buried in a ton of other crap I really don’t care for. Honestly, I hope others follow and we get more niche specific channels like this.

Here’s a music video they’re featuring on their channel that’ pretty nifty. Check it out. I’m heading back to the couch to rest my legs s’more. Later!
