I don’t normally do reviews (that’s Trog’s job here at Atomic Moo), but I thought I would give it a shot tonight. Normally I just get on and say “Hey! Check this cool shit out…” which I guess I’m kind of going to do here anyways…. Anyhow, Jason Lenox (Atomic Moocasts 51 & 54) from Ugli Studios sent us the first two issues of his anthology comic Ugli Studios Presents.

Honestly, I enjoyed both issues, but then I might be a little biased since I’m in a independent comic mood right now (see last post). The first book had a… I’m not sure how to describe it other then a Twilight Zone/Lovecraft feel to them.

The second one kept some of that, but I also enjoyed the adventure/western “The Painted Ladies of San Quentin” at the beginning. Also, I really liked the artist style of the story titled “Thirteen” written and illustrated by Joseph Freistuhler.

If you get a chance, I recommend you check these issues out. It looks like you can order them online at their site. Get’em, take a look, and let us know what you think. I gotta run… got some thinking to do. Later!
