Comikaze_2013 218

Among the many exhibitors at Comikaze 2013 was a group working hard to restore the discarded remnants of a Enterprise-D set into a fully functional interactive museum! The project is headed by screen writer Huston Huddleston and its board of directors include Star Trek alum Ronald D. Moore, Andrew Probert, Rick Sternbach, and many others.Blueprints_crop (1) The bridge being restored isn’t the bridge used for STNG in the 1980’s but a reproduction made by the original designer in 1996. According to their Website the bridge will reflect seasons 2 – 7 when fully restored and will be used for educational tours, fan films, and even events like Make a Wish and weddings. The bridge is still in the process of being restored but pieces of it can be seen touring through comic and pop-culture conventions like San Diego Comic Con and Comikaze. So far the project has several major sponsors and support but they still need help to finish the project. Check out the video below of visit their Donate Page to see how you can help!
