30 YEARS OF GARBAGE: The Garbage Pail Kids Story

Via Strange Kids Club: Check out the background to this website and you’ll see them in that mess of geek stuff. See ’em? That’s right, Garbage Pail Kids! That’s how much Chudd and I love Garbage Pail Kids, that when we made our own geek website we had to include them!garbagepailkids4 Back in 1985, we were just nine years-old, and most of our lives were about collecting as many Garbage Pail Kids as we could! They were perfect for us! They were gross, weird, and each card also had a twin! Fuck baseball cards! So, I was really excited when I found out that a group is doing an unauthorized documentary, 30 YEARS OF GARBAGE: The Garbage Pail Kids Story! The documentary, by Sean Tiedeman and Jim Thorpe, celebrates 30 years of the cards with artist and creator interviews. Which sounds great, but then I got bummed out when I noticed this is the last day for the Kickstarter. So, show some support El Moochadores! Go check out all the cool rewards you can get for supporting this awesome project and let’s make this happen!

  1. I had some of those! 2nd Series mostly. “Clogged Dwain” was one of them. Eventually traded most of them for M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. Those were fun.
