With Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Bootleg Film, Birdman toy, and Star Wars art!
Golly. Good damn morning, El Moochadores! We got some groovy stuff for today’s Morning Moo, including a very cool Power Rangers short film (yeah, Power Rangers… I didn’t think it was possible either) and a mock commercial for a Birdman action figure. BUT FIRST…
Star Wars Art!
Via Deviant Art: Check out this fantastic Star Wars illustration by Ohio based artist, Jake Murray. Good name. Anyways, Jake will be selling this print at the 2015 Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim. So, if you’re lucky enough to be in Anaheim this April, swing by (where ever he’ll be at) and get a copy of this limited edition print.
Birdman Action Figure!
It’s not a doll! It’s an “action figure.” Though, I can’t say I would be sticking up too much for a Birdman action figure. All the same; check out this fake promo for a Birdman toy from Fox Searchlight on the youtube.
I was already a teenager when the Power Rangers came about, so it’s something I never really watched before. I also never really felt the need to criticize the show too much since the kids of my youth were all watching Voltron, and as uniquely stupid as that was, it didn’t feel right bashing the giant robot fantasy of a younger generation. However; if this is what the Power Rangers were like back in the ’90’s, holy shit did I miss out! Check out this amazing Power Rangers bootleg, directed by Joseph Kahn, and starring Katee Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica) and James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek). The bootleg was written by Kahn and Van Der Beek.
You can see more bootleg films from producer Adi Shankar (Dredd, Killing them Softly) on his Youtube channel!
