Featuring Red Panda art and a cool proof of concept short film!

Good damn morning El Moochadores! Okay, so today we may have a bran (is it “brand” or “bran”… meh) new Moocast podcast to post later on today along with a new book review. It’s gonna be a busy day, so let’s get into it.

Like the “h2” header said; today we got some great Red Panda art (yeah, I know. Not really “geek creative,” but dammit: RED PANDAS!), and cool proof of concept film called Envoy!

Enjoy!

Red Panda!!!

I just found out about these little critters a few months ago, but damnit! I love ’em! Check out this great piece of red panda art by Deviant art contributor Alexandra Khitrova (aka: GaudiBuendia). She’s a Russian artist with a great portfolio of work. Hit the link above to see more! Also, MORE RED PANDA STUFF! They’re so damn cute! Ha!

Envoy

Check out this fantastic short film, Envoy, from director David Weinstein. According to the vimeo page, this is a proof of concept for what will (hopefully) be a larger film. The story is about a young boy “who discovers a deadly alien creature and winds up entangled in a top secret government operation.”

  1. Red panda is pretty awesome. Do a Google image search for the following: tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog), red ruffed lemur, slow loris, and Arctic fox.

The Tanuki looks like a Dog and Racoon mix. Red ruffed lemur is now my official super hero name. According to this link the slow loris can actually kill you… but then so can most other primates. And, yeah, the arctic fox is adorable, also a good pet name for a girl friend, or a Siberian assassin, who (if you’re lucky) is also your girl friend.
