Featuring Cool Collectibles, Terminators, and Wet Hot American Summer Netflix Trailer!

Good Morning El Moochadores! Sometimes it’s really hard finding stuff I want to post about, but this morning it was all just there. A bunch of really great new stuff all lined up and ready to be shared. So, let’s start with the above image of the ALIEN collectible carton Xenomorph Egg and Facehugger set… from Neca. This set includes six Xenomorph eggs along with 3 bendable face huggers. According to the Fangoria page I saw this on; the set won’t be for sale until October, but you can pre-order it for 19.99. I’ve posted a few more sample images below, but for more information, check out the Neca page.

Terminator Genisys vs Terminator 1 Punks Side-by-Side Scene

I think I’m not alone when I say that I’m getting really tired of the crappy re-makes Hollywood continues to sling at us. Robocop, for example, really sucked. Same with Total Recall, Red Dawn (wtf?) and (goddammit) now Poltergeist. Not that they couldn’t go back and make a shit film better. Y’know, there’s a whole lot of Pauly Shore films out there just waiting for a good script doctor. Maybe let Judd Apatow have a crack at Bio-Dome? Anyways, I’m ranting. The thing is, this new Terminator flick (Genisys) totally isn’t a remake. I mean, it obviously has remade parts, but… not really. Fuck’n time travel man! Check out a small example of the similarities, and differences, in this neat video by FifaScythi on the youtube, that shows the “punks” scene side by side. Which again, not really a remake! Though it is a tragedy that they did try and remake Bill Paxton’s brilliant performance. “Nice night for a walk! h’yuck.” Classic.

Welcome to Camp Firewood

Okay, finally (best for last). Netflix will soon be releasing an Wet Hot American Summer prequel series: First Day of Camp! This is a limited, 8 episode, series and it looks like the most of the cast is back. The show will star Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter. Keen. Check out the trailer below!
