Geek Art, Drawing Tuts, and Robotech!
Good morning El Moochadores! So the Rattletrap broke down again yesterday during one of our very few rain storms of the year. Yup, nothing like hot, muggy, summer rain and busted down cars. Still, things aren’t so bad. There’s a bunch of cool new stuff drifting along the currents of the internet this morning and we were able to capture a few of them to share with all of you starting with this very cool drawing tutorial from Noel Paolo Libunao. Both Chudd and I are always on the look out for new drawing technique and practices. Check out the video below for a way to render basic forms for body poses. Libunao has a bunch of other great tutorials on his youtube channel that are well worth a watch and I’ll probably doing a post about some of them later on this week… after I get the car fixed, that is.
Gallery 1988 West has a new show currently running called Both Sides, highlighting some of our favorite pop-culture rivals from films of the 1980’s. Check out a few sample images below, but hit the link above to see way (way!) more and available prints.
Masei TV Color Fokker Helmet
Via Macross World: Okay, they’re probably saying Macross, but I’m totally calling this Robotech. Check out this frigg’n rad Roy Fokker helmet from Masei. I’m not sure, but I think this is a custom job for an individual client, but all the same; This would make an awesome birthday present for (oh… I don’t know) your favorite cow based blogger/podcaster who happens to love riding motorcycles…and Robotech! Y’know the same cow based blogger/podcaster that has a birthday at the end of this month. ‘just saying, is all. Also, I need a motorcycle.
