A Cool New Indie Comic Kickstarter!
Hey El Moochadores! A while back we featured a very cool independent comic, Dragon Slayer, by indie creator Devin Kraft. Well, having successfully funded Dragon Slayer, Devin is back with a new full color comic about the “transformative power of music!” Silence: Track One is the story of a small seaside town who’s men have started to disappear as their ships go missing at sea. Here’s the synopsis:
Johanna Jones, a runaway from the town of Anthem receives a letter from the SSCC informing her that her father has gone missing after The September, the ship he was aboard, failed to return on time. They plan on repossessing her childhood home and allow her several days to collect any important belongings. Johanna reluctantly returns home to try to put together an expedition to search for The September’s whereabouts. Along with her best friend, a washed up elderly ex-punk rocker, an on again off again addict, and a cat named Arpeggio, she sets off on a yellow submarine called the Heart of Gold for Hades’ Hexagon, a mysterious area where ships keep disappearing.
According to the Kickstarter page, the art for this book is already done and, when printed, will be 40+ full color pages. Devin has loaded this campaign with a bunch of great rewards, and as of this post there’s still 28 day left to contribute. Hit the link above for more details about the book, sample art, and rewards. I’ve posted a few sample images below along with the Kickstarter promo video. Best of luck to Devin and we hope to see this book hit all its goals!
