An Atomic Moo Indie Comic Shout Out!

So, the upcoming Atomic Moocast (#107) will feature an interview with Kymera Press founder, and comic creator, D. Lynn Smith. Who we met at SDCC 2015. However; whilst (whilst?) we were visiting their booth, we also had the chance to pick up a great title, Pet Noir, a story about a genetically altered cat named Leon.

In the story Leon has been genetically modified to be a “highly intelligent” (oh… and he has thumbs too!) and for the first time he has been taken away from his mother and siblings to the far off Gamma StationPg_1 to work along side Devin, a special agent on the station. Now Leon gets to live the life a detective on gamma station.

The story is based on a novel by Pati Nagle, who also wrote the comic, and features the wonderful illustration work of Anna Giovanni, colors by Liezl Buenaventura. Overall Pet Noir is a highly enjoyable bit of comic science fiction. According to Kymera Press issues will be available for purchase soon (we got one of limited run at SDCC), so we’ll keep you updated on when issues are ready to buy. Until then check out a few sample pages below, and hit the Kymera Press link above for more information.
