The Doubleclicks Announce 30-City Summer Tour!

Celebrating Five Years of Music!

Okay El Moochadores, I’ve been kind of absent the last few days, so I apologize for the lack of posts. However; I’m taking most of the day to get caught up on announcements and reviews, and maybe even post a new Moocast! So, yeah – lot’s to do!

Let’s kick things off with a shout out to one of our favorite geek bands, the Doubleclicks! Recently the Doubleclicks (sisters Angela and Aubrey Webber) announced a 30 city summer tour to celebrate five years of music fun. Here’s a bit of press release to fill you in on the details and get you all fired up for tickets:

What do you get when you combine two sisters with a cat keyboard, nerdy lyrics, serious musical chops, and 30 cities? It’s the Doubleclicks, Portland’s beloved geekySummer-Tour-With-missouri-768x439 folk-pop duo, and they’re going on tour across the US and Canada this summer! Find them at comic shops, gamer bars, libraries, and more: there will be an all-ages show in every city, so everyone can enjoy catchy tunes that tackle everything from breakfast and cats to childhood bullying and social anxiety.

In addition to hits from previous albums and new material, Angela and Aubrey Webber will perform their 2015 album, “President Snakes,” which spent two weeks on the Billboard Comedy Top 10. President Snakes is a fictional presidential candidate invented by the duo, who is five snakes wearing a suit pretending to be a person. Is this political commentary? No one is quite sure.

Keen. Though I couldn’t help but notice they’re not coming to San Diego. WTF Doubleclicks, you don’t like awesome? Anyways, if you’re lucky enough to live in, or near, one of the cities on the tour list you can get tour info here. Also, check out a couple of their music videos below.

Post Script: Doubleclicks, do our damn podcast already!

  1. I shouldn’t say this on a public forum because it makes me look like an old reactionary, but I’m always a little bit surprised when women like geeky things. A great many young women know more about this stuff than I do. Just another area in which the times have passed me by, I guess. Sigh.

Like half of our interviews are creative geeky women! How could this surprise you now?

      • You know how there are things that surprise you every time you hear them? For me another one is that the sun rises and sets only once a year at the north pole.
