Kickstarter for a Book About Unproduced Toys!

I think I was about five or six years old when Dark Crystal came out, and there is no f***ing way I would have ever wanted to play with any toys from that creepy (weird) movie. However, I’ve always had an interest in toys and action figures. Maybe it is due to a bit of arrested development, or some head trauma, but I just never gave up on collecting figures from the stuff I liked. So, getting a book on toys that never were, would actually be really cool. There’s something about the mix of history and childhood that just seems right. Except Dark Crystal. Seriously. I still hate that movie and the nightmares it gave me.

Anyways, the The Toys That Time Forgot Kickstarter is about to end and I just wanted to give the Moochadores a heads up about a project (I think) is really interesting. Written by journalist Blake Wright this 200 page volume (when funded) will feature 20 + stories of toys that never made to the shelf. Stuff like Krull action figures, and Osmosis Jones, which may have made it to the prototype stage, put not to production. As of this post, the Kickstarter has hit all of its funding, but there’s still time to contribute and collect some cool rewards, plus get what looks to be a really cool book.

Check out the KS promo trailer below, along with a few sample images pulled from the Kickstarter page. Click here for more information about the book and contributor rewards.

Cheers!
