I gotta admit; Every time I see one of these Beat Down Boogie videos – of cosplayers dancing around, and having fun – I get jealous. I mean; I want to go to Dragon Con! Hang around with a hot Oolas and a Ninja turtles, but no! I gotta go to my crap ass job, and then get groceries and the dry cleaning. Y’know, maybe I’ll go get a camera. Then I’ll travel around the country and take pictures of people dancing around in foam costumes, and pair that up with… 1960’s folk music! Yeah, I’ll be that guy! Screw these kids what with their fancy videos and trippy music! I can do this too!
ehh. No, I can’t. So, just enjoy another video from guys who’s job is way better’n mine, and watch all the cool fun I’ll never get to have. Also, I posted a few images below from the Beat Down Boogie Facebook page, but this is just a small sample. Click the link to see way more.
P.S. El Moochadores. If you are currently working on (or have produced) an independent comic, film, game, or music that has a strong nerd/geek vibe: Let us know! I’m always looking for cool “geek-creative stuff to post about” here on the Moo, and learning about your project would really help me out – and save me a lot of time searching the internet!
Hey El Moocahdors and fellow geeks. I’ve been following this guy’s work on DeviantArt for awhile now, but I don’t think I’ve ever done a post about him (Trog and Necko will correct me if I’m wrong), which is too bad because he has some really great looking stuff, and I really like his style of pin-up art. His name is Garrett Blair (or gb2k on DeviantArt), an illustrator from Seattle. His brother, Scott Blair, is another artist who’s work I also greatly admire… and fiendishly envy (MUHAHAHAHAH!).
I’ll post a few more images of his below. Definitely check out his DA gallery and his website for more great work. He’s also on Facebook and Twitter so you can follow his work there. Enjoy!
Hey El Moochadors! I got a few minutes before we begin this week’s Moocast, so I thought I would do a quick post of some great looking images I spotted on DeviantArt.com not too long ago (I really am spending way too much time on there lately). I just thought these were great examples of geek creativity, and worth a Moo. Their by Filipino photographer Jay Tablante, or jatablante on DA. I’ll post a few more of his cosplay images below, but he’s got some more great work in his gallery that you should check out. He’s also got a website, unfortunately I was having trouble seeing it, but maybe you’ll have better luck.
