Featuring Drawing Tuts, Loki’s Chitauri Staff, and the Pippi Longstocking Reboot!
A lot to do, today, El Moochadores! So let’s jump right in and start post about stuff like this very cool Autodesk SketchBook on how to create a custom chain brush. For those of you who work digitally, you already know that creating new brushes can be a huge time saver. Check out this tut, which (to me anyways) looks like it could be adapted to other illustration programs as well. For more great tutorials visit the Autodesk Sketchbook Pro website!
MAN AT ARMS: Loki’s Chitauri Scepter
Next up; we got another great build from the awesome people at AWE me. Watch as the Man at Arms crew re-builds Loki’s staff (aka: the Chitauri Scepter) from the Avengers and Thor movies. Then, watch them chop, slice, and dice all sorts of doomed objects with that same scepter. Then(!) spend the rest of your day saying scepter, because it’s a cool sounding word and we don’t get to say it nearly enough in real life!
Clint Howard Reboots Pippi Longstocking!
Finally, from Funny or Die, check out probably the only reboot we actually want to see; Pippi Longstocking as pitched by Clint Howard!
Okay, so Earth Day is almost over, but we can enjoy the last hour or so of it with one of the funniest videos to ever hit the internet. So, please enjoy the wonderful Don Cheadle as Captain Planet in this great Funny or Die classic!
Hey El Moochadores! I’m currently working on the next Atomic Moocast, but I wanted to get a post up on the site tonight. So, Check out Funny or Die’s take on George Lucas’ wedding speech! Very funny, but lacking in neck waddle.
01/23/2012 / Trog / Comments Off on It’s Got Shrim! Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie Trailer
I’ll admit, I’ve been in a real negative funk lately. I mean, normally, people accuse me of being kind of negative to begin with, but recently things have just felt extra bad. It’s just the normal list of shit I don’t have (No Money, No Goals, No Girl, etc…) and a sort of sense of hopelessness. And even when I try to cheer myself up by telling my self “Dude, you’re an American… nay, better still… a Californian! Now cheer the fuck up!” I still feel bad inside. My one refuge from this negativity is my geekiness. My love for the weird, super natural, and the non sequitur. I feel better every time I turn on my computer and come here to Atomic Moo and explore stuff only me and a handful of others (sort of like me) may ever like. Stuff like Tim and Eric. Just tonight, and old friend of mine told me that Tim and Eric have a new movie coming out and suddenly I felt better. Suddenly, it didn’t matter that I’m broke, lonely, and probably going to work a number of jobs I seriously hate until the day I die. It’s okay. It’s all just a little better now. Check out the Red Band trailer below. The flick will hit theaters March 2nd and shortly after find it’s way into my DVD collection. Right next to my copy of Brain Candy…
Hey Geeks, Dorks and Nerds. I didn’t get any sleep last night, and very little the night before. So when five o’clock rolled around and I was done with work, I thought I would try to do a quick post on Atomic Moo, then maybe lay down for a second. It ended up the other way around, and instead of a second… well, I just woke-up. So, I was just looking over my reader and found this Funny or Die video that GeekTyrant.com was sharing. It’s about a guy’s first date with Wonder Woman. There’s a lot of cussing, so It’s probably not safe for work, but then again it’s the weekend, so fuck it! Enjoy!
While I was waiting for the rice to finish I thought I would go through my RSS reader to see if there was anything of interest. There’s actually a ton of things buzzing around the web right now. I guess what caught my interest was all the Tron and Tron: Legacy stuff. I pretty much agree with what my brother wrote in the “Moo Review,” (sorry, we couldn’t think of a better title). It was an amazing looking film, but unfortunately the story was kind of weak. I still hope they make more though, and that they don’t give up on it. I think there’s potential for some real kick ass stories from “The Grid.” Anyhow, here’s a few things I found and I hope you enjoy them.
