Hey El Moochadors… I have to apologize for yesterday’s lack of posts. There’s a lot of cool stuff buzzing around that Trog and I would love to share on here, but we got kind of distracted last night after work. Our neighbor’s were having a little shindig last night, and invited us over for a drink. “Well… okay, but just one…” is what I told myself, because I wanted to do another post, plus finish working on this new shirt idea as well as finish an Atomic Moo business card design I’d been working on.
Three and half Belgium Fat Tires later, and partaking of something that I haven’t tried since I went to Switzerland in 2006, I was feeling like a pretty happy Chudd for the rest of the evening. That means that nothing got done last night, and this morning I woke up feeling way less than fully armed and operational. Honestly, I can barely think right now. Fortunately for us all our friend, and El Moochador, Dave Smith (a.k.a. d20), has stepped in to save the day. He emailed us a review that, after attempting to read last night, and then really reading it this morning, makes me want to check out Game of Thrones. I haven’t seen an episode of it yet, but I think I’ll have to now. Anyhow, here’s his review below, and Dave thank you very much for doing this. I’m off to find some Excedrin…
Hey El Moochadors! I’m just about finished with my portfolio site—it will never really be finished, but I like it well enough now to move on to other projects. Tomorrow I would like to start the process of re-working Atomic Moo to give it a cleaner look.
When we started this we just grabbed a free theme, slapped a menu bar in it, and threw in a background (which I’ve never been that happy with, just too lazy to change). So before I do this, I was wonder if any of you have some ideas or suggestion of how we can make the site better, or what we could improve on ? Let us know if there’s something you’d like to see on the site that we don’t currently have? Any comment, suggestion, or idea (praise maybe?) is more than welcomed.
We appreciate you all for visiting the site, and especially those who have liked us on Facebook. Hopefully we can keep trying to build Atomic Moo into something great, and keep you all coming back. Thanks!
Here’s something that I watched earlier today, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot since. It’s called Zero Charisma. Filmmakers Katie Graham and Andrew Matthews put this together and are trying to raise $15,000 for pre-production costs. It looks funny, and it reminds me of a time when I played RPGs and hung out with other socially awkward nerds like what are portrayed in the film, but I read some stuff that kind of bugged me a little. Here’s the synopsis for the film:
I spotted this on DeviantArt.com last night and thought it would make for a great morning post. When Jedi came out, the Gamorrean Guards where some of our favorite back ground characters. We even dressed as them for Halloween in the 3rd grade. And who doesn’t love Miss Piggy, especially in her Pigs in Space costume? This is one of the coolest mash-ups I’ve seen in awhile. It’s by Australian illustraor Loopydave. He’s got more great geeky art work in his gallery. Also, I think this is his website where you can see more of his stuff. Check it out and enjoy!
I know this has been all over the internet already, but It got a pretty good chuckle out of me so I had to post it here. Looks like at a Star Wars themed Disneyland show this little girl, Sariah Gallego, decided to pledge her loyalty to the Darkside. She’s probably the coolest little kid in the world right now, but I gotta feel sorry for her father. I mean, if she’s turning to the darkside at that age, imagine what she’s going to be like as a teenager. Time to whip out the whiskey Dad.
I’m not sure what to say about this. I just got done with work, so my mind is a little scattered right now. I thought taking a moment to relax and go through my reader might help. I dunno… I might actually use some of these lines, like the MCP one. That is if I could ever get a date again. One of these days… Thanks to Megasteakman for putting this together and ToplessRobot for sharing it. I think it’s time for a drink.
The Ladies of Mortal Kombat
First appearing at local Mortal Kombat tournament events across Europe this month, Cosplayers representing Sonya Blade, Kitana and Mileena will appear at the Mortal Kombat pan-European tournament final held at the The Gadget Show on Sunday April 17th at Birmingham’s NEC Centre, UK.
Anyone want to buy me a ticket to Birmingham? How come Europe gets to see this? Why not us poor schmucks in the U.S.? I dunno… Anyhow, after watching those I found the first episode to the new Mortal web series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy. It’s actually pretty bad ass. Shows how much I’m paying attention. I didn’t even know it was being released today. Check it out here if you haven’t seen it yet, and let us know what you think.
I’ll post the videos of the ladies below. Enjoy, but not too much. They say you can go blind that way. Sinners.
Well, at least know we now what happened to all those Marios. Now I’m kind of curios about some of the other video game characters and where their bodies went. Like Sonic. I have to wonder how many rotting hedgehog skulls I piled up when I was a kid. Or Arthur from Ghouls ‘n Ghosts. Probably a ton of bearded skeletons in their underwear lying around somewhere. This Mario bros. print was created by Ryan Coleman, and available on his etsy store for $15.00. Check it out if you get a chance.
I saw this Black Canary fan-made video earlier this morning from Super Unofficial (thanks to iFanboy.com for sharing this). It’s part of their Five Faces Project. After watching this my only questions were what is Super Unofficial, and what’s the Five Faces project? Up until this morning I had never heard of either of these things. On their site this is what Super Unofficial had to say about themselves:
What’s with all these hot chicks doing songs about geeks lately? I dunno… it just seems to me like there’s been a lot recently that have been expressing their love for geeks or geeky stuff in general (like the Doubleclicks, Team Unicorn, Amy Lee-Radigan, etc…). Another thing, if there’s all these good looking women out there that are into geeks, then why the hell can’t I find one? Okay, yeah I’m poor, I drive a shitty car, no self-esteem, not in the best shape, rarely shave, kind of directionless right now, and I smoke cigars… but other than that what the hell is my problem? Some day I’ll get this world figured out… Anyhow, here’s another very very attractive girl sharing her love of geeks in song. Her name is Madeline Mann. She pretty and has a nice voice, so why wouldn’t you watch this, right? Check out her YouTube Channel and Facebook page. I’m off to get a cigar in my shitty car.
