Sorry, I have no idea who’s responsible for that image, or who’s belly that belongs to, but I spotted it earlier on my reader (via Geekologie.com) and thought it was the best thing I’d seen all morning.
Not much else to report as far as Atomic Moo is concerned, except I had to euthanize my printer. So now I can’t do test prints of any Atomic Moo projects I was hoping to finish or work on (like the masks, the glasses, etc…). Trog is still busy working on the last Moocast, and Buttery is working on his posts. That’s about it.
Sorry I’m getting to this so late. I usually like to have this done before now. Unfortunately we didn’t get much of a Moocast recorded last night. Hopefully tonight,or tomorrow night, we will. Other than that there’s not much else to report. Anyhow, here’s some nifty stuff of interest I spotted while browsing around the web last night.
Well , I’m friggen starving, so I’m going to try and make this morning’s regurge a quick one. This is all stuff that I’ve found on my RSS reader this morning, for those of you who may not be familiar with this. Anyhow, here’s a pretty awesome looking Star Wars photo series I came across (via GeekTyrant.com), Marc & Louis Photography. That’s one hot twi’lek there. Usually I’m not in to chicks with tentacles on their heads, but I’d probably make an exception for this one. So what’s the hell was Vader’s problem with her? Maybe more of him got burnt up on that lava planet then he would’ve liked? “OH NO! I gotta robot dick now!” you could later hear him scream. I dunno… You can check out the rest of the photos on their site. They all have the hot twi’lek in them, so there’s a bonus.
Hey Geeks. Another piece of nifty that I found in my reader this morning. Apparently this girl from Seattle , Erin Michael Vondrak really really really really wants to work for Valve. So much so, that she put together this song and animation. If you don’t know who Valve is (’cause I didn’t), they’re the guys who made the Portal, Left 4 Dead, and Half-Life Games. As someone who needs a job right now, I can appreciate what she’s trying to do. The only problem I’m having right now (actually it’s kind of a crisis), is I really really really really don’t want to work for anyone! Whenever I try writing a cover letter, or I’m about to send off a portfolio sample (and even freelancing is really getting at me lately), my stomach starts to twist in on itself. So I can’t see myself doing something like this anytime soon… honestly I can’t think of anyone I would want to do it for. I know what you’re thinking, “shut the fuck up, and get to work you lazy little bitch!” Maybe I am being lazy, I don’t know. I just know that thinking about having to punch in everyday, or having a boss hang over my shoulder, or having a paycheck held out in front of me like a carrot on a stick… well, it just makes me want to puke.
Anyhow, good luck to you Erin. Hopefully you’ll find the dream job you’re looking for. Hopefully we at Atomic Moo will to.
So… I feel like crap. The con crud has finally caught up with me. I was just trying to take it a little easy, and was browsing the internet, when I came across this article from TheSuperficial.com (not a site a visit regularly). I was just curious to see what was so bad about Adrianne Curry’s Aeon Flux costume to get her kicked out of Comic-Con. I still don’t get it. Seems like we saw much worse stuff while we were there. Anyhow, I started browsing through the other photos when I came across this one…
I said to myself “huh, those look familiar…” (look, it was only until tonight that I noticed the name tag; I can’t be totally blamed for missing it). So, just outta curiosity, I started browsing the photos we took last weekend (which I’ll upload all of them to the site… soon… I promise) when I came across this one of Trog…
Same girl from above! Trog got a photo with Adrianne Curry and didn’t even know it! Isn’t that the same girl who was a naked human sushi platter, plays WoW naked, and mounted a Brady? Probably naked??? And we totally missed it was her? We just thought she was another hot cosplayer in an awesome costume. And the worst part is, I got a photo with her last year and didn’t even know it!
I think I made some stupid comment like “Hey, this is what I want for Christmas, yuck yuck!” And I had my hat flipped up like a dork too… Ahhhhh… we’re retarded.
Why does it feel like the Monday after Comic-Con always sucks? Here’s how this Monday has gone: Trog seems to have caught Capt’n Trips (ask Buttery Wholesomeness about it) and is spewing snot all over the place; I’m flat busted broke; with the two clients I currently have, one can’t make up his mind (but absolutely won’t listen to my advice), and the other tried to change the terms on a contract we’d had both agreed to last week (that one I kind of tore into today… we’ll see how long he remains a client); My microstock account won’t seem to budge and the inspectors are dicks (it’s kind of taken the fire outta me for that lately). Today has been a big rolling diseased ball of stress and madness. It sucks because I just spent the last four days meeting and listening people who are successful and are doing what they love to do… while I’m just bumble-fucking around trying to figure it out… oh and I turn 35 at the end of the week… yaaaaay…
Alright… we made it back alive… barely. Comic-Con 2011 had its highs and lows, but overall it was pretty awesome. I had a good time (as you can see in the photo above). I started writing a post last night of some the highlights I experienced, and I’ll finished that tonight. Unfortunately I just got too tired and went to bed early. I’m only 35 (or will be in a few days), I should have more energy than this, right? Anyhow, this is just a quick update. I’ve got some work to get to, and try to make some clients happy. I’ll tell you though, after the con, I’m really wishing I could find someway to make this my full time job. If there’s one thing I walked away from this year’s con with (besides a massive amount of debt and a hangover) is a lot of inspiration. I feel all fired up to be more creative and do more for myself and the site. We’ll see how long I can keep that fire going. Well, sorry it’s almost 9:00 and I’ve got some work to do. I’ll definitely finish that post tonight, and I know Trog is working on one as well. We also have a ton of stuff to review and go over, and I know Buttery is working on that as well. Later!
Fellow Moo D20 sent me a link to this earlier this morning. I would’ve posted it earlier too, but I kind of slept in… Didn’t get to bed until 5 am… vectoring some illustrations to put on my iStock account. Anyhow, this is a pretty funny PSA, something I suffer regularly from sitting in this chair all day. Is it just me or does it look like the Captain is putting on a little weight there? Just sayin’… Check out the video below and let us know what you think. I’m off to take a shower.
I thought I would do a quick post of something I just saw on my rss reader before I go to bed (via ToplessRobot.com). Well, if this is what My Little Pony is actually like, then I feel sorry for making fun of Bronies… I guess I’ve been missing out. Anyhow, if yer one of those sensitive types that don’t like bad language (I don’t know what the fuck you’re doing on this site then…), then this is not for you. You’ve been warned. For the rest of you foul mouth bastards, like myself, enjoy!
Good morning El Moochadors. I hope you all had a great weekend. Last night, while I was trying to relax and settle down before bed, I came across this nifty Batgirl fan film on Youtube. It’s created by Breathe Again Entertainment, where they got some other neat projects for you to check out (like the X-23 fan films). Anyhow, I wish I could say more about this project, but I really didn’t get much further than 1:30 in to the film…
Hey, it was late… no one else was around… what’dya think I guy like me was gonna do? Don’t judge! Anyhow, I need to finish watching this later. Check it out below, or go to their YouTube Channel. I’ve got some socks to wash…
