A.T. 19 is now online!!!
Okay El Moochadores, I’m trying to get out the door for SDCC 2017, but I just finished Atomic Tails #19! Which is way more important. Check out the strip below, or you can go check it out, with past comics, at the A.T. Archive! Also check out my Atomic Tails Blog (Trog’s Blog) to learn a little about the making of the comic. After all, this is one big learning experience.
Check out AT #18 You Mouse Love’n Fuggers!!!
Okay El Moochadores, I’ve got another addition to my ongoing experiment to learn cartooning and comics! Check out Atomic Tails #18 below. Though I feel bad it took so long to get this strip out, I actually had fun drawing a “Goldfinger” mouse and a barrel fire. Also, no unintentional penises in this strip. The ottoman penis in #17 was totally not planned and kind of embarrassing. As all unintentional ottoman penis should be. Seriously, it kind of tails you how bad an artist you are when you have to watch yourself for not accidentally adding a hidden penis to your work. #17 really taught me a lot…
Anyways, check out the new comic below and go check out the previous comics (now mostly penis free) in the Atomic Tails Archive. Also, I do keep an Atomic Tails blog where you can read a little bit about the making of the comic. I would mention the Patreon, but I haven’t had time to create new art for it or set up any awards for contributors. Though I am working on it! Gimme money! I draw mice and sometimes dick! Accidentally.
Strip #15 is online!
Yeah, I’m actually (kind of) following through on something. Anyways, check out the continuing adventures of Chudd and Trog in this weeks Atomic Tails! Also, some news about the strip: This last week I started a Facebook page and an Instagram for Atomic Tails. However, I have no idea how to link to the Instagram on here, but until I do, please look me on there and follow the strip! I am not internet savy, but thank you very much to all the people who have followed Atomic Tails just in the last week.
Anyways, I’m setting a goal to get strip 16 done by Saturday… so back to work.
Check out strip 15 below!
New Print on Murray Brothers Creative!
Hello El Moochadores! This is just a real quick post to announce a new print on Murray Brothers Creative. Hey Bub, is a Wolverine fan piece done in vector art featuring classic (1980’s) Wolverine in his brown and yellow costume. Illustration work was done by Atomic Moo’s Chudd, and you can buy the print on 8.5″ x 11″ or 5″ x 7″ (mini-print) sizes!
Hello again, El Moochadores! Yeah, post have been kind of sparse lately, but that’s only because life’s been kicking me around as if I were a giant hacky sack. However, there seems to be a calm in the storm, so I wanted to post about some future prints we have on the way. Recently Chudd has been doing a lot of sketch work, and I’m really proud of the results. It took some doing (and a small fist fight) but I finally convinced Chudd to make some prints of the work he’s done. We’re still in the process of getting high quality scans of the work, producing new pieces, and formatting them, but I thought I would give you a preview of some of the sketches that will soon be available on Murraybroscreative.com as prints and mini-prints. If Chudd keeps up with the “evil-eye” thing, we may even produce a small art book!
Anyways, check out the art below and keep checking back for updates as prints are made available!
Strip #13 is online!
I’m only sharing this here because we’re a geek creative blog and this is the sort of stuff I like to do. So… I just finished another strip for my web comic, Atomic Tails. In this one Chudd’s bad day goes from bad to worst as he’s evicted from his apartment. I really dug working on this one. Mildred is definitively coming back in future strips and I like working with a limited amount of color. Anyways, check out this strip and the others in the Archives area of the site. I also have a small blog on the AT site where I write about what I learned well making this strip. Hopefully I can get the next one done in another couple weeks!
Okay El Moochadores, at the end of this month we’re going to have a table at Nerd Con 2016 in… Escondido. Sorry, I was trying to come up with an agreeable adjective for Escondido, but all that came to mind was a sort of wheezing sound. Still, they have a comic con happening there from Aug. 26th to the 28th, so there’s a sign of hope! This’ll be our first year tabling at Nerd Con (actually this has been our first year tabling at any con), and we’re trying to get the word out so as to help support local cons, which in turn supports your local, cow inspired, geek blogs. Both Jason and I will be premiering new art work at the con, like this Wolverine bust Jason just finished. As this month passes, I’ll be posting more about the art work we’re taking and hopefully, if you’re anywhere in the Southern California area (especially Riverside and San Diego counties, you’ll swing in and have a good time checking out independent art and creators making stuff they love.
Power-Con 2016 Preview!
Okay El Moochadores, we’re putting the finishing touches on some new art that we’ll be taking to Power-Con this coming weekend. Check out these vector busts by Chudd (aka: Jason Murray). We’ll be selling this art along with the other MOTU prints I blogged about a few days ago. I’ll also post these prints to the Murray Brothers Creative shop, so that you can purchase them online. We’ll also have some unique button art at the con, but we’re just now starting to put that together, so… no preview yet. Anyways, if you happen be a fan of 80’s pop-culture, and in So. Cal this weekend, swing by Torrance and check out the con! It’s shaping up to be a really cool event!
