Awesome Psylocke Cosplay

Super quick post of this great looking cosplayer, Mostflogged, dressed as my favorite purpled haired mutant. I think I’m going to spend the rest of my day drooling over this image. Later!

Atomic Moo Saturday Geek-Art…Thing…

Hey El Moochadors. Okay, not as late as I was last week with this, but still it’s something I would rather have done earlier. This is something we’re doing where we post our own geek-art that we’ve created within the past week. Anyone else who wants to post their weekly geek-art along with us is more than welcome to (skill level does not matter). Just send a jpeg to Trog (trog@atomicmoo.com), and we’ll post it. Anyhow, let us know what you think.

Psylocke—What are you looking at? by StellaChuu

I just got through a bunch of other work, now I’m moving into some personal projects like Atomic Moo. I’ve been saying it for awhile now that I really wanted to do a site redesign, and I’ve been trying to work up some ideas this past week, but so far nothing. I don’t understand why is it at work I can put together a site mock-up for a client in three to four hours, but for some reason I draw a blank when it comes to my own projects. Even trying to redesign my own personal site I seem to mentally stall out. Right now I feel a ton of anxiety knowing that I’m diving into the site design again after I do this post… and that’s why I’m probably babbling on… procrastinating. Fuck, I’m screwed.

Anyhow, I should get on with the post. Trog sent me a link the other day of this gorgeous girl in some pretty amazing Psylocke cosplay (via GeekxGirls.com), and if you’ve been reading the blog or listening to the Moocast, you know I’ve got a thing for Psylocke (and especially for girls who cosplay as Psylocke). This one is by a deviantArt member Stella Chuu. I gotta say, I’m pretty damn impressed. Stella makes a great looking Psylocke. She’s also got more awesome cosplay in her dA gallery, but also if you go to her FaceBook page, you can see a few more images of her as Psylocke.

Well, I should go get to work… first I think I’ll go poor myself a glass of whiskey (to calm the nerves)—Shit! it looks like I’m all outta whiskey. I guess I’ll just have to walk down to the store and get some. A nice long walk… Later!

Awesome Psylocke Cosplay

Psylocke 4 by HikariKosmaker

Hey El Moochadors. I don’t keep it a secret that I’ve got a thing for girls that cosplay as my favorite purple haired mutant, Psylocke. This one here I discovered on deviantArt yesterday, and I thought she looked amazing. Definitely worth posting about. It looks like she’s from Mexico, and goes by the name HikariKosmaker. Sorry, I don’t know what her real name is, or if she’s single and likes chubby lonely white boys like myself… I’ll have to do some investigating. Anyhow, check out her Psylocke images below.

She’s also done some other great looking cosplay work, and I’ll post a few images below, but check out her gallery to see the rest. Later!

Awesome Geek-Art of Kit-Kit-Kit

kit-kit-kit geek-art

Hey El Moochadors, I thought I’d get a quick post in before bed tonight of something pretty cool I saw the other day (via GeekTyrant.com). They’re by a Japanese artist, and deviantArt member, kit-kit-kit (sorry, I’m not sure what his real name is). Damn, I really want to know how he creates these pieces. It says they’re digital art, but is he creating these in Illustrator and putting a texture layer on top, or are they painted in Photoshop or Painter? I dunno… I tell’ya though, that’s the level of work I want to aspire to. I’ll post a few below, but check out his gallery for more great work. Later!

Evening Moo: Sh*T Comic Book Nerds Say and Some Nifty Geek Art

Plava Laguna by Justin Van Genderen

So, I got an offer to go down to Sorrento and do a “working interview” as a graphic designer this week. Don’t worry, I’m getting paid for it… not much, but right now I’ll take it. Anyhow, I got to the Coaster station a little too early (how fucked up is it that I have to take the train while my brother gets to run my car down to Poway (over 30 miles one way) every day???), and as I’m sitting there waiting (reading my copy of the Dragon… Tattoo Girl Who Likes Fire… close enough…) I get approached by two homeless gentlemen. If you combined the number of teeth both these guys had left, you still wouldn’t have enough for just one mouth. Anyways, the shorter, less hairy one, tries to inform me that the reason the train is late is because it’s George Washington’s birthday… It took him awhile to do this, but eventually he made his point (of course the real reason the train wasn’t there was because it was only 8:45 and wasn’t expected to arrive until 9:28). I said “Do you mean it’s Martin Luther King day?”

Pleased to see he was successful in this news blast, he proudly stuck out his hand expecting a tip. So, what the fuck, I gave near a dollar’s worth of change in my pocket and off they went. A moment later I saw them shuffling across the parking lot with a case of Bud Light tuck up underneath the Newsmans arm. I guess my buck was the last thing stopping them from really enjoying their day. Now that I think about it, it was a twelve pack… I pitched in a buck… Why the fuck didn’t they offer me one? Assholes…

Sorry, not much to do with Martin Luther King there… Anyways, I was just going through my reader and spotted some nifty stuff of interest, like the illustration above by Justin Van Genderen that I spotted on Geek-Art.net. I’ve posted some of his work on here before, but if you get a chance you should really check out his website. There’s is a ton of kick ass stuff on there. There’s a couple of images I’ll post below that I thought were really great. I got a couple other things to share, so check them out after the jump.

Evening Moo: Awesome Geek Art of Pushfighter

Psylocke by Pushfighter

Hey El Moochadors. I came across this guy’s work on DeviantArt recently, and thought it was worth sharing with the rest of you. He a illustrator from Atlanta and goes by the name of Pushfighter—holy cow I’m having a tough time typing tonight; it’s like my fingers are on backwards—his real name though is Ralph Sevelius. I’ll post a couple more of his pieces below, but he’s definitely got more great stuff in his gallery, and on his website, that’s worth a look. Enjoy! …I’m off to stick my hands in something warm…

The Evening Moo

Animated Amazing Spider-Man

Hey geeks. It’s been a hell of a day, I tell’ya. But, I’m home now. Chill’n. Currently I’m chatting with a couple other members of the Moocast, trying to plan out tomorrow’s…episode…show? What the hell are we calling it? I dunno… Anyhow, here’s a few things I found while browsing the net tonight… with no pants on… Enjoy!

Anyhow, I came across these awesome looking animated comic book covers by Kerry Callen, like the one of Spider-Man above. Looks like he’s a cartoonist with some serious skills. Check out his blog for more of his work, and check out the rest of the covers below.

Awesome Psylocke Cosplay

Hey El Moochadors. Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday… and today. I was busy with a freelance job down in Del Mar all day yesterday, and Trog… well, he played the sick card. Thursday night we had a great interview for the Moocast with Dan from Action Figure Therapy. Trog has managed to drag himself from his death bed to finish putting it together, so there’s that to look forward to.

Anyhow, today I’m just trying to get back into the rhythm of things. There’s a lot of stuff I’d like to do for the site today, but I thought I would start with a post of something really nifty I spotted on DeviantArt.com the other day (I’m pretty sure I haven’t posted about this before, but if I have, oh well, she’s worth a second post). If you’re one of the two or three guys who actually read this blog, then you know I’m a sucker for hot girls in Psylocke cosplay. This one is by DA member Mostflogged. I have no idea what her real name is (Jenni… I think…), but she looks terrific as my favorite mutant. Also I really like how she choose to do Psylocke from Uncanny X-Force.

Purple Haze

X-Force Psylocke—Mostflogged

She’s got more great stuff in DA gallery, and on her website. A lot of Anime stuff that I have no idea what it is, but it looks great… I gotta watch more anime… or play more video games. Well, I’m off. I gotta figure out how to make a widget. Later Moochadors!

Morning Regurge

Sorry, I’m not off to a good start again. I stayed up way to late vectoring last night (I think I crashed on the couch around 4 or so), and I’m really dragging ass this morning. I was listening to an old Youtube video while I worked, of a Q&A with Neil deGrasse Tyson. At one point (1:12:00 or so) in the video he was talking about an asteroid, Apophis, that some day in the near future could potentially cause a fender bender for the Earth. Sorry to be a pessimistic anarchist son of bitch, but I say let it fall. I think our civilization could use a reset button in the shape of a giant rock the size of the Rose bowl. But that’s just me.

Sorry, I’m having problems with two former clients that I dealt with a month ago. These two jobs in particular were a couple reasons why I cut way back on freelancing and stopped putting my ad up on Craigslist. The funny thing is, I was actually going to start putting my ad up again on Craigslist this morning and give it another try. Fucking Apophis is late.

Awesome Geeky Illustrations by Ivan Camelot

Batman by Vancamelot

Again, sorry, but dealing with that shit this morning has kind of left me in a bad mood. And it’s getting later in the day, so I need to get moving with this. Here are some really great looking illustrations that I spotted on Geek-Art.net by illustrator Ivan Camelot. There’s elements of this style that I really like, and I’m thinking I should try to incorporate into my own work. Like how he makes the figures look shiny and almost candy like, but doesn’t use any gradients that I can see. He’s got a ton of these illustrations on his Deviant Art gallery. I’ll post a few of my favorites below. Anyhow, check them out and enjoy. I’m off to buy a telescope, so I can look to the sky each night with anticipation…
