Hey El Moochadors, check out these awesome looking custom toys by Sillof. They’re like Dungeon and Dragon versions of the more popular DC Comics’ characters (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Flash). Sillof has done some amazing looking stuff before (especially his Star Wars mash-ups) and definitely worth taking some time to check out. Anyhow, I gotta run, but check out the figures below. Later!
Here’s a guy that know how to get things done. Not like Trog or I who have a ton of ideas for this site, but can’t seem to do anything with them… anyhow, I don’t want to start down that road. We’ve posted about Sillof’s stuff in the past, and he’s always impressed us with his work. I have to say I really like this new set of figures he’s come out with, and I’ll say it again, this is the kind of nifty variant stuff Hasbro should be putting on the shelves. This time he created a Retro/Sci-Fi Star Wars look, which is really kind of makes sense since Star Wars is based off the old Flash Gordon serials. Check out the images below of the figures. If you want to see more of his work, you can visit his website, or go to his DeviantArt.com gallery. Enjoy!
I spent some time last night browsing DeviantArt (looking for naughty pictures) when I came across more great work from Sillof. He’s a high school history teacher with a really neat hobby of designing nifty looking action figures. A lot of these are alternative versions of Star Wars characters. Not too long ago I posted about his West Wars series. He’s also done samurai and steampunk Star Wars toys that look pretty nifty (check out his Steam-Jedi series… damn fine job on that Slave Leia). Here he’s made up some Medieval Fantasy Star Wars figures.
I think I’ve said this before, but
Kenner Hasbro should pick up some of these ideas. A lot of older fan boys with some arrested development issues, and also in their early to mid thirties, single, and with shitty jobs (you know, like me) would cream in their shorts if they saw these on the store shelves.
I’ll post the images below of this series. Take a look, or go to his gallery on DA. You can also visit his website, or like him on Facebook. Enjoy!
You know, I’ve always wondered what a Native American version of Chewbacca would look like… Check out these great looking West Wars action figures from Sillof. Before he’s taken the characters from Star Wars and re-imagined them as Samurai, Steampunk, and WWII action figures. Now he’s giving them them the Old West treatment. These are some great ideas here. If these were on the shelves of the local toy store, I would be tempted to pick a few up. Not that I frequent toy stores often… I’m 34. I’m too old for that stuff now, or so I’m told. Anyhow, I posted more images below. Visit his site or his DeviantArt page. He’s also got a Facebook page you can like. Let him know he’s doing a great job so he’ll keep making more. I’m off to scrounge up some breakfast.
