Well, for all the stories and videos I’ve been posting on here about sketching and cartooning, here’s yet another attempt at expanding my own illustrative skills. Check out Atomic Tails #20 and enjoy the mouse goodness of it all. Chud and Trog are still trying to hash out Chud’s sharing Trog’s apartment, while something bigger and better begins to take form in the Mouse twin’s little home. I think the extra attention I’m spending on posting about cartooning is starting to pay off a little. Yeah, I’m still a shit cartoonist, but for my part I’m seeing some improvements. Go ahead and check out the strip below or at atomic-tails.com and also check out Trog’s Blog where I write about making the comic strip. Also, don’t forget to go check out Murraybroscreative.com! All of our prints are on sale as we start making room for a new generation of prints, mini-prints, stickers, and buttons!
Hey El Moochadores! In an effort to raise money for new art work, prints, and buttons, we are selling our first generation of art work at very reduced rates. We’re still very proud of our this work, but there’s new stuff we want to try and to do that we need to sell some of the prints we made last year. So, like many of our 8 1/2 x 11″ prints -that we normally sell for $10.00 at conventions – are now just $5.00 each. 1 1/4″ Buttons are just $1.00. There’s not much left of this stock of prints and buttons, so if you see something we made and want to help support Atomic Moo (and its handsome founders) now would be the time to jump on and make a buy. Not that there’s really a time limit, but some of the art work I’ll be taking down in a couple of weeks as we’re trying to make more original illustrations not based on fan art. Also, we are never re-printing any of this art again. So, when it’s gone… it’s GONE!!!
I’ve posted a few sample images below, but go visit Murray Brothers Creative to see the full portfolio of work and maybe pick something up.
Hey El Moochadores! The 2017 San Diego Comic Con International ended yesterday, and it was one hell of an experience. Though we mostly spent our time in educational panels (thank you Room 2!), we also wandered about the con and came back with some cool photos of con-happenings. It’s going to take me a while to post all the photos, and I need to get about half of them from Chud’s camera, so keep checking back here to see more. Also, we met a lot of great creatives and makers at this years con, and we’ll be posting about their stuff of the next couple of weeks.
***I have to leave for work. I’ll finish posting photos later tonight! Cheers!***
Okay El Moochadores, I’m trying to get out the door for SDCC 2017, but I just finished Atomic Tails #19! Which is way more important. Check out the strip below, or you can go check it out, with past comics, at the A.T. Archive! Also check out my Atomic Tails Blog (Trog’s Blog) to learn a little about the making of the comic. After all, this is one big learning experience.
Okay El Moochadores, I’ve got another addition to my ongoing experiment to learn cartooning and comics! Check out Atomic Tails #18 below. Though I feel bad it took so long to get this strip out, I actually had fun drawing a “Goldfinger” mouse and a barrel fire. Also, no unintentional penises in this strip. The ottoman penis in #17 was totally not planned and kind of embarrassing. As all unintentional ottoman penis should be. Seriously, it kind of tails you how bad an artist you are when you have to watch yourself for not accidentally adding a hidden penis to your work. #17 really taught me a lot…
Anyways, check out the new comic below and go check out the previous comics (now mostly penis free) in the Atomic Tails Archive. Also, I do keep an Atomic Tails blog where you can read a little bit about the making of the comic. I would mention the Patreon, but I haven’t had time to create new art for it or set up any awards for contributors. Though I am working on it! Gimme money! I draw mice and sometimes dick! Accidentally.
Hey El Moochadores, I just finished a new Atomic Tails! Yeah, kind of weird for a guy in his forties to slopply drawing a comic about mice, but fuck it. I’m having fun and learning a lot in the process. You can read all about this comics strips creation on my offical Atomic Tails blog or Trog’s Blog. heh.
Also, I launched a Patreon for Atomic Tails. I am scary broke right now and I need help paying for the site. Right now there’s only a dollar donation offer (which get’s you our sincerest thanks!) but were working on some improved rewards and offers for anyone interested in helping out.
Look to the right and you’ll see the first Atomic Tails ad too! Both Chudd and I worked on this one, and I kind of dig the results.
I posted the new comic strip below, but also go check out the comics archive to see more comics and my progress in making it. Well, I hope there is progress… On to strip #18!
Atomic Tails #16 is finally posted online! Yeah, Kind of took me a bit, but you can read about the making of the new strip on my Atomic Tails Blog (Trog’s Blog)! That’s right. I’m half-assing two blogs now. What the fuck… Anyways, the real life Chudd (aka: Jason Murray) created the logo that appears in panel three, and I think he did a great job with it. The Ascension of the Golden Yo-Yo’s may rise again. Maybe. I had a lot of fun with this strip and it was a pretty good learning experience. I’m already working on Strip #17, but click here to see all the strips so far! Also, also; help support Atomic Tails by following us on twitter (@AtomicTails) and Instagram (Atomic_Tails).
Yeah, I’m actually (kind of) following through on something. Anyways, check out the continuing adventures of Chudd and Trog in this weeks Atomic Tails! Also, some news about the strip: This last week I started a Facebook page and an Instagram for Atomic Tails. However, I have no idea how to link to the Instagram on here, but until I do, please look me on there and follow the strip! I am not internet savy, but thank you very much to all the people who have followed Atomic Tails just in the last week.
Anyways, I’m setting a goal to get strip 16 done by Saturday… so back to work.
Okay El Moochadores, I just finished another strip for Atomic Tails! Check out #14 and the introduction of Buttery Wholesomeness. Based on the same Buttery Wholesomeness who occasionally helps out with the blog and podcast. The real life Buttery is much more a cartoon character. Anyways, more strips are coming soon.
Okay El Moochadores, it’s now been a week since San Diego Comic Fest 2017, and it was a pretty damn good con! I wanted to post about the convention sooner, but I had a busy work week, and then I got slammed by the con crud! I’m still a big snotty mess. Anywhat, we want to thank the convention organizers and all the attedees for an excellent con experience. Comic Fest was our sixth convention, and first con of 2017, and also a strong reminder of how awesome it feels to make art and have people actually buy it! Also, frigg’n great job on the Kirby Cafe. This years Comic Fest celebrated Kirby’s 100th birthday by decking out a bar/lounge with tons of Kirby art and covers! This was a cool con and we’re looking forward to next years convention, and hopefully a stronger portfolio of work.
Also, thank you very much to all those who signed up for our e-mail list. We’ll keep you updated with new con appearances, new illustration work, and anything else related to Atomic Moo and Murray Brothers Creative!
Anyways, I had to stay at the booth for most of the time were at the con, but here are some photos I pulled from the vastness of the internet to show some of the con happenings. Once again, not our images, but if you do a simple google search for San Diego Comic Fest, you can see where I pulled ’em from.
