The adventures of Chud and Trog Continue!
Hello again, El Moochadores! Yeah, I haven’t been posting a lot lately, but mostly because I’ve been focused on getting the new Atomic Tails comic finished. Comic #22 tells a little bit more about Chud’s plan for a comic book (greatest comic book in the history of the world…). I don’t like patting myself on the back, but there’s some stuff in this strip, I’m kind of proud of. Anyways, check out the new comic below, and after that go check out past comics at the Atomic Tails archice. Also, you can read a little bit about what went into the making of the comic (this is a learning experience too) at Trog’s Blog.
***Explicit Language*** for all you sensitive folks.
Also don’t forget to like/follow Atomic Tails on Facebook,Twitter, and Instagram. Just look up Atomic Tails on which ever one. You’ll know it when you see it.
If you are currently working on (or have produced) an independent comic, film, game, or music that has a strong nerd/geek vibe: Let us know! I’m always looking for cool “geek-creative stuff to post about” here on the Moo, and learning about your project would really help me out – and save me a lot of time searching the internet!
Fire. Breathing. Super. Cow.
Okay, El Moochadores! Here’s why I haven’t been posting on here the last week. I was working really hard (in my spare time) to finish the latest Atomic Tails! Check out as one of the main plot points for the entire story arch for Chud and Trog is introduced! I had a lot of fun working on this strip, and thought this may not be the best super-cow illustration, I really like how it turned out.
Anyways, Check out past comic strips at the link above, and I hope you enjoy the hell out of the comic below. Also, go check out Trog’s Blog where I write a little bit about the making of the comic!
Well, for all the stories and videos I’ve been posting on here about sketching and cartooning, here’s yet another attempt at expanding my own illustrative skills. Check out Atomic Tails #20 and enjoy the mouse goodness of it all. Chud and Trog are still trying to hash out Chud’s sharing Trog’s apartment, while something bigger and better begins to take form in the Mouse twin’s little home. I think the extra attention I’m spending on posting about cartooning is starting to pay off a little. Yeah, I’m still a shit cartoonist, but for my part I’m seeing some improvements. Go ahead and check out the strip below or at atomic-tails.com and also check out Trog’s Blog where I write about making the comic strip. Also, don’t forget to go check out Murraybroscreative.com! All of our prints are on sale as we start making room for a new generation of prints, mini-prints, stickers, and buttons!
A.T. 19 is now online!!!
Okay El Moochadores, I’m trying to get out the door for SDCC 2017, but I just finished Atomic Tails #19! Which is way more important. Check out the strip below, or you can go check it out, with past comics, at the A.T. Archive! Also check out my Atomic Tails Blog (Trog’s Blog) to learn a little about the making of the comic. After all, this is one big learning experience.
They’re all mice! Everyone get’s to be a mouse!
Hey El Moochadores, I just finished a new Atomic Tails! Yeah, kind of weird for a guy in his forties to slopply drawing a comic about mice, but fuck it. I’m having fun and learning a lot in the process. You can read all about this comics strips creation on my offical Atomic Tails blog or Trog’s Blog. heh.
Also, I launched a Patreon for Atomic Tails. I am scary broke right now and I need help paying for the site. Right now there’s only a dollar donation offer (which get’s you our sincerest thanks!) but were working on some improved rewards and offers for anyone interested in helping out.
Look to the right and you’ll see the first Atomic Tails ad too! Both Chudd and I worked on this one, and I kind of dig the results.
I posted the new comic strip below, but also go check out the comics archive to see more comics and my progress in making it. Well, I hope there is progress… On to strip #18!
Strip #15 is online!
Yeah, I’m actually (kind of) following through on something. Anyways, check out the continuing adventures of Chudd and Trog in this weeks Atomic Tails! Also, some news about the strip: This last week I started a Facebook page and an Instagram for Atomic Tails. However, I have no idea how to link to the Instagram on here, but until I do, please look me on there and follow the strip! I am not internet savy, but thank you very much to all the people who have followed Atomic Tails just in the last week.
Anyways, I’m setting a goal to get strip 16 done by Saturday… so back to work.
Check out strip 15 below!
Okay El Moochadores, I just finished another strip for Atomic Tails! Check out #14 and the introduction of Buttery Wholesomeness. Based on the same Buttery Wholesomeness who occasionally helps out with the blog and podcast. The real life Buttery is much more a cartoon character. Anyways, more strips are coming soon.
Strip #12 Online!
Hello again El Moochadores! I’ve got a bunch of blog post to get through today, and my computer isn’t exactly cooperating, so let’s start with something really easy…
I finally finished another Atomic Tails strip. Though I’m a little shy about sharing my web comic here (or anywhere) I kind of also think it’s healthier to share this when I finish one. We are a geek creative website after all. Anyways, check out the strip below, and check out past strips through the link above.
One of my many (many!) problems is that once I find something I like I get a little OCD. For example, I love web comics. Love’em! When I find one I really enjoy (e.g. Bearmageddon) I lock in on it and I have to read all it right away, no matter how extensive a prior comics archive the site may have. Well, it happened again. I found out about a Web comic that is by far one of the best I’ve ever read, and goddamn, I spent a lot of time reading it this last weekend!
Blue Milk Special is a wonderful and hilarious take on the Star Wars universe! Started back in February of 2009 (how did I just learn about this!? I’m really starting to doubt my geek cred…) by husband and wife team, Rod and Leanne Hannah, the comic strip is totally non-profit and draws its name from that odd blue gunk Aunt Beru was serving up for dinner in A New Hope!

New strips appear on the site about once a week and follows (parodies) the original trilogy closely. Although they do also include the Star Wars Holiday Special (ripe for parody) and from what I have read they have plans to include the Shadows of the Empire novel as well. Blue Milk Special also produces a Podcast which is just a lot of good Star Wars geeky fun!
I’ve posted a few sample strips below, but this is just the smallest fraction of awesome that is Blue Milk Special! So go check out their site! Now! NOW!!!
Hey El Moochadors. Not much to report as far as Atomic Moo is concerned. Hopefully Trog will finish last week’s Moocast soon. Also hopefully I’ll find stable employment and a job with regular hours soon and figure a out a normal format for this blog. Sorry for the irregularity of last week. I was asked to go freelance for a few days down in Del Mar. I was hoping it would turn in to a regular gig, but who knows… Anyhow, here’s a few nifty items I found on my reader and other places that are worth looking at. Enjoy!
AT-AT Dog Cosplay
I spotted this earlier in my reader via Neatorama.com. Who looks at a dog and says “hey, he would look great as an AT-AT Walker!” Katie Mello does.
