I just watched the film Your Highness, and the whole experience of going to see this film has left me feeling very very bad. I had high expectation for this film. It had Danny McBride , was made by the guys who brought us Pineapple Express, and (according the the trailer) it looked like we would get to see Natalie Portman in a thong! That all sounded good to me! I don’t want to turn this into a bitch-fest about the film or its actors, however after just having sat through 102 minutes of very unfunny dick jokes with an ADHD-ridden audience I feel like I just got ripped off.
Good morning El Moochadors! Check out this trailer for a new movie called Your Higness. It’s from the same guys that made Pineapple Express (David Gordon Green, Danny McBride, and James Franco). From what I understand, I’m one of the few people who liked Pineapple Express, still, this one might be a DVD renter. It looks like a modern version of Cheech & Chong’s the Corsican Brothers. I did chuckle at some parts (like the suck out the venom scene), so it doesn’t look all that bad. I’m not sure I want to spend $11.00 at a theater for this. Actually, it’s more like $22.00 because Trog always says he’s in “overdraft”… now that I think about it, it’s closer to $35.00 ’cause I like to have my popcorn and m&ms… and a drink to wash it all down…. So I don’t know if it’s going to be worth the $35.00 it would cost to see this (and remember, I don’t make a lot of money, so $35.00 isn’t something to just toss away), and sit in a theater full of assholes that won’t shut up or turn off their damn cell phones (or at least put them away so we don’t have to see the light from your screen). Also, lets not forget having to sit through a bunch of bullshit commercials, when you’ve already paid out the ass just to be in that seat (the movie going experience kind of sucks now days…). Anyhow, check out the trailer below and let us know what you think. Warning, it’s NSFW (they drop the “F” bomb a lot… and by that I mean “Fuck”). It doesn’t come out until April 8th, 2011, so I guess that gives us sometime to decide whether to see it in the theater or not. Enjoy the rest of your day!
